Seawall and Dock Contractors on the Treasure Coast

Seawall and dock contractors on the Treasure Coast work the Indian River Lagoon, the St. Lucie Estuary and a large freshwater canal network that behaves nothing like either.

Licensed Permits handled Florida waterfront

We connect waterfront homeowners in Martin, St. Lucie and Indian River counties with licensed marine contractors who work those specific waters.

The inspection is free and you get a written estimate before anyone touches your property.

Two hurricanes crossed the same barrier island in three weeks

Hurricane Frances came ashore near Sewall’s Point on south Hutchinson Island in September 2004 with sustained winds around 105 mph. Hurricane Jeanne followed on 25 September, landing near the south end of the same island (almost exactly where Frances had) and is recorded near Stuart as a Category 3 with winds near 120 mph.

The pattern is the useful part, and it repeats elsewhere in Florida: the first storm strips the beach and undermines the toe of a wall, and the second one fails what is already hollow behind. A wall that looks sound from the yard can have lost its backfill.

Why it matters

Lagoon, estuary and freshwater canal are three different jobs

Port St. Lucie’s canal network off the North Fork is largely freshwater, with no tidal cycle and no salt attack on reinforcement. The St. Lucie Estuary at Stuart and Palm City is tidal and its water conditions swing with Lake Okeechobee regulatory discharges through the C-44 canal, which Martin County reports on publicly.

Indian River County publishes a combined dock and seawall permit application, and living shorelines are actively encouraged in the lagoon. A permit application there needs a plan view, a cross section and a turbidity control plan.

A free inspection tells you which one you are looking at.

What a free inspection includes

A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.

You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.

  • On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
  • Photos and a plain-English explanation of the problem
  • Written estimate with scope and materials
  • Repair versus replacement guidance where both are options
