Seawall and Dock Contractors in Palm Beach County

Seawall and dock contractors in Palm Beach County work a shoreline that is already almost entirely man-made.

Licensed Permits handled Florida waterfront

We connect waterfront homeowners on the Lake Worth Lagoon, the Loxahatchee and the canals off them with licensed marine contractors who work those waters.

The inspection is free and you get a written estimate before anyone touches your property.

Nearly 90% of the Lake Worth Lagoon shoreline is already armoured

Palm Beach County’s Environmental Resources Management reports that nearly 90% of the Lake Worth Lagoon has an artificial shoreline: vertical bulkhead or rip-rap that provides no shoreline protection or habitat value.

That matters when your wall reaches the end of its life, because a like-for-like vertical replacement is no longer the only option. ERM has designed, permitted, funded and built lagoon restoration works such as South Cove, completed in 2012, and living shoreline and hybrid revetment approaches are part of the county’s direction of travel.

Designers here increasingly set higher cap elevations and add proper toe and scour protection. No county-wide minimum elevation has been adopted, so what your address requires is worth confirming rather than assuming.

Why it matters

Two inlets drive the current through the canals

The Lake Worth Inlet at Riviera Beach and the South Lake Worth Inlet at Boynton push tide through the lagoon and the canal systems feeding off it, and a wall near either works harder than one at Lantana.

The Loxahatchee at Jupiter and Tequesta is a different animal again: a Wild and Scenic river with its own protections and a strong inlet current at the mouth.

A free inspection tells you which one you are looking at.

What a free inspection includes

A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.

You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.

  • On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
  • Photos and a plain-English explanation of the problem
  • Written estimate with scope and materials
  • Repair versus replacement guidance where both are options
