Seawall and Dock Contractors on the Emerald Coast

Seawall and dock contractors on the Emerald Coast work bays and sounds rather than the canal grids of peninsular Florida.

Licensed Permits handled Florida waterfront

We connect waterfront homeowners from Pensacola to Santa Rosa Beach with licensed marine contractors who work those waters.

The inspection is free and you get a written estimate before anyone touches your property.

Sally put boats and barges on land in 2020

Hurricane Sally made landfall at Gulf Shores, Alabama at 5am on 16 September 2020 as a strong Category 2 with 105 mph winds, the first hurricane to affect Pensacola since Ivan in 2004 and Dennis in 2005.

Storm surge moved numerous large boats and barges onto land, and a section of the U.S. 98 Three Mile Bridge over Pensacola Bay collapsed after a construction barge struck it. 1,756 structures were damaged, 44 destroyed and 629 sustained major damage. FDEP published a post-storm report that November.

This is the western Panhandle’s reference event. Hurricane Michael, which devastated the coast further east, did not hit here. The two storms affected different halves of the Panhandle.

Why it matters

Pass current, sound shallows and dune lakes

Destin Pass carries a strong tidal current between Choctawhatchee Bay and the Gulf, and structures near it work harder than anything in the sheltered bayous. Niceville’s Boggy Bayou at the north end of the bay is about as sheltered as this coast gets.

Santa Rosa Sound behind Navarre is narrow and shallow, and Santa Rosa Beach fronts the coastal dune lakes along 30A, a rare and protected landform that changes what is permitted. Four counties cover this stretch, so local requirements vary more than the distance suggests.

A free inspection tells you which one you are looking at.

What a free inspection includes

A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.

You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.

  • On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
  • Photos and a plain-English explanation of the problem
  • Written estimate with scope and materials
  • Repair versus replacement guidance where both are options
