Seawall and Dock Contractors in Daytona
Seawall and dock contractors in Daytona and Volusia County work two very different shorelines separated by a barrier island.
We connect waterfront homeowners on the Halifax River, the Indian River North and the Palm Coast canals with licensed marine contractors who work those waters.
The inspection is free and you get a written estimate before anyone touches your property.
Ian took the beach, Nicole took the buildings
Hurricane Ian washed away beach and destroyed seawalls along this coast in late September 2022. Six weeks later Nicole made landfall near Vero Beach as a Category 1 on 10 November and hit the same shoreline with its protection already gone.
Volusia’s county manager called the resulting damage along the coastline unprecedented, with 49 beachfront buildings structurally damaged. In Wilbur-by-the-Sea 22 homes were declared structurally unsound and seven ended up in the ocean. Dozens of towers in Daytona Beach Shores and New Smyrna Beach were declared uninhabitable after seawater undercut their foundations.
Almost all of that was oceanfront. It is still the clearest lesson available anywhere in Florida that an undermined wall is more dangerous than a cracked one.

Why it matters
Ocean armouring and river bulkhead are not the same job
Work seaward of the Coastal Construction Control Line runs through a different FDEP programme than river and canal work, and the contractors who do one do not always do the other.
On the mainland side the Halifax River carries the Intracoastal past Ormond Beach and Port Orange, Ponce Inlet has the strongest tidal current and the worst scour conditions in the county, and Palm Coast’s dredged saltwater canal network is the closest thing here to a Cape Coral-style market.
What a free inspection includes
A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.
You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.
- On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
