Wooden docks and pilings in front of canal-front homes in Naples at dusk

NAPLES, FLORIDA

Dock Repair Naples

Dock repair in Naples is permitted as a Type I accessory structure, the same class as pools and boathouses (City Code Sec. 16-52).

Licensed Permits handled Florida waterfront

We put Naples owners in touch with licensed marine contractors who repair docks on Naples Bay, Haldeman Creek and the city’s canals.

Free inspection, a written scope, no obligation.

Limits a rebuild must meet

Pier, piles, lift and vessel together stay within 25% of the waterway width, and walkways stay within 5 feet wide (Sec. 56-93, last amended by Ord. 25-15762 in November 2025). Rafting boats together needs its own permit.

Many neighborhoods add their own numbers. Coquina Sands and The Moorings cap stationary structures at 30 feet, and Aqualane Shores caps the pier at 15 feet or 10% of the width.

Why it matters

After Ian

Ian put 6 to 9 feet of water above ground in Naples. Docks that floated, racked or lost decking often have loosened pile connections below the waterline, so ask for a look at every bent, not just the deck.

The repaired dock must show reflective address numbers at least 4 inches tall, visible from the water.

A free inspection tells you which one you are looking at.

What a free inspection includes

A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.

You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.

  • On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
  • Photos and a plain-English explanation of the problem
  • Written estimate with scope and materials
  • Repair versus replacement guidance where both are options
