ESTERO, FLORIDA
Dock Repair Estero
Dock repair in Estero needs a village permit, and a village permit does not replace state or federal approval (Village LDC Sec. 7-401).
We put Estero owners in touch with licensed marine contractors who handle both.
Free inspection, a written scope, no obligation.
Limits
Docks reach the lesser of 200 feet or 25% of the channel, or up to 300 feet at the Director’s discretion. Slips need at least 3 feet of water at mean low water (Sec. 7-402).

Why it matters
Setbacks on natural water
On natural waterbodies, docks keep 25 feet from side lines and lifts keep 10. The Director may require sealed plans, a riparian survey and an as-built survey. Ian put 8 to 12 feet of water above ground in the area in 2022.
A repaired dock that sits over Estero Bay Aquatic Preserve bottom also answers to state preserve limits, such as a walkway no wider than 4 feet.
What a free inspection includes
A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.
You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.
- On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
- Photos and a plain-English explanation of the problem
- Written estimate with scope and materials
- Repair versus replacement guidance where both are options
