PUNTA GORDA, FLORIDA
Dock Builders Punta Gorda
Dock builders in Punta Gorda Isles and Burnt Store Isles keep any dock, lift and pile combination within 25 feet of the seawall, or 20 feet in parts of Pompano, Bass and Tarpon Inlets, and inside the 45 degree structure limitation lines (City Code Ch. 6, Sec. 2-1).
We connect Punta Gorda owners with licensed marine contractors who design to it.
Free consultation and a written scope.
What a lot gets
Lots with less than 85 feet of seawall get a concrete dock up to 10 feet plus one lift or 3 piles. Lots with 85 feet or more get up to two lifts, or one lift plus 3 piles, or 6 piles. Floating docks are prohibited, and new BSI docks require a lift.
Permits
Standard docks go through the Building Division. Anything outside the standards needs a Canal Construction Special Permit, a $450 fee and a quasi-judicial hearing. A sealed survey with field work from the last 12 months may be required.

Why it matters
Harbor and river lots
On Charlotte Harbor and the Peace River, docks reach 3 feet of water at mean lower low water, up to 80 feet, with a T or L end no larger than 20 by 8 feet.
What a free inspection includes

You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.
- On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
