PUNTA GORDA, FLORIDA
Boat Lift Repair Punta Gorda
Boat lift repair in Punta Gorda is a code duty, not just a convenience: lifts must be kept operable (City Code Ch. 6, Sec. 2-2).
We connect Punta Gorda owners with licensed marine contractors who service lifts in PGI, BSI and on Charlotte Harbor.
Free inspection and a written scope.
District rules
In Punta Gorda Isles and Burnt Store Isles, lift covers and canopies are prohibited, and floating lifts are capped at 17 by 20 feet for boats 19 feet or shorter. Lifts stay within 25 feet of the seawall and inside the 45 degree lines (Sec. 2-1).

Why it matters
When the seawall is rebuilt
If the district replaces your seawall, you relocate the lift and restore it at your own cost. Charley’s eye passed over Punta Gorda in 2004 and Ian came ashore nearby in 2022, so lifts here have seen two major storms in two decades.
What a free inspection includes
A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.
You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.
- On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
- Photos and a plain-English explanation of the problem
- Written estimate with scope and materials
- Repair versus replacement guidance where both are options
