MARCO ISLAND, FLORIDA
Boat Lift Installation Marco Island
Boat lift installation on Marco Island has one firm limit to plan around: no new boathouses, so a lift and canopy is how owners cover a boat (City Code Sec. 54-116).
We put Marco Island owners in touch with licensed marine contractors who plan lift and dock together.
Free consultation, a written scope, no obligation.
Canopy rules
Up to two canopies per residence, no more than 27 inches beyond the lift on each side, open on the sides, with an 18 inch drop curtain in one nonreflective color. Pre-1998 boathouses may be rebuilt to 15 feet high with 15 foot setbacks.

Why it matters
Placement and permit
Lift and boat count toward the 30 foot and 25% limit on waterways 100 feet or wider, or 20% on narrower ones, measured from the seawall face (Sec. 54-111). The city building permit issues only after state or federal approvals are filed with the director.
What a free inspection includes
A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.
You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.
- On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
- Photos and a plain-English explanation of the problem
- Written estimate with scope and materials
- Repair versus replacement guidance where both are options
