TREASURE ISLAND, FLORIDA

Dock Builders Treasure Island

Dock builders in Treasure Island lay out a new dock by frontage first, because city setbacks change at 60 feet of waterfront.

Licensed Permits handled Florida waterfront

We connect Treasure Island owners with licensed marine contractors who design to Sec. 69-71.

Free consultation and a written scope.

Setbacks by lot width

Under 60 feet of frontage, the dock keeps one third of the waterfront width from each extended property line. Over 60 feet, it keeps 20 feet. Inside-corner and pie-shaped canal lots use 5 feet.

A setback can be waived with a notarized no-objection statement from the neighbor.

Why it matters

Size limits

Dock width is limited to 25% of the waterfront width, and length to 50 feet including tie poles. Tie poles stay under 10 feet above mean high water and within 50 feet of the seawall.

Covered boathouses are not allowed.

A free inspection tells you which one you are looking at.

What a free inspection includes

A contractor comes to your property, looks at the structure above and below the waterline where needed, and tells you what is actually happening.

You get a written scope and estimate. No obligation, no trip fee.

  • On-site assessment of the structure and surrounding soil
  • Photos and a plain-English explanation of the problem
  • Written estimate with scope and materials
  • Repair versus replacement guidance where both are options
